The Alchemist 

The Alchemist is a true master in dark arts and molecular mixology with theatre and immersive experiences at its core. This, coupled with innovative presentation and sensational settings, makes The Alchemist an unrivalled all-day destination.

The premium bar and restaurant likes to do things a little differently, making incredible transformations through its delivery of unique experiences for guests. Every detail has been considered to create shareable moments and push the boundaries of unconventionality.

Established in 2010, The Alchemist provides a memorable casual dining experience from breakfast through to dinner, complemented by an expertly crafted drinks menu. Its passionate in-house mixologists create every cocktail with an obsessive eye for detail, all orchestrated to serve a devilish dash of theatre.

The Alchemist is located in King Street of the Grade II listed building, which was once home of the Hard Rock Cafe.


Ginsecco is a celebration of all things Juniper & Grape. A high-end cocktail bar with a focus on Gin and Prosecco. They’re opening with over 70 gins and an extensive range of wines and prosecco.

Their bar has a rustic but upmarket feel with splashes of teal, green, copper & grey, nods to British wildlife and old photographs of local distilleries, Nottingham icons and landmarks.

Ginsecco want to showcase what makes Nottingham great, within the venue, with their bespoke cocktails dedicated to Nottingham legends.

They plan to be open daily from midday until midnight, once they officially open at the beginning of March.

Guests are welcome to lounge around on their comfy sofas, utilise the free wifi and enjoy quality coffees during the daytime, before enjoying Ginsecco’s delicious range of alcoholic drinks in the evening.

You can find Ginsecco on the top floor of Cornerhouse. The bar has great views across the city, as well as an outdoor balcony smoking area.
