That four letter word we are surrounded with at this time of year. Every way we turn we read the latest diet trends, the do’s and the don’ts, eat this and don’t eat that or even worse how to shred 10lbs in 10 days.

It’s no wonder that everything becomes overwhelming and we often find ourselves doing the wrong thing or try to stick to a ‘diet’ that just isn’t realistic and we end up giving up.

Well let me tell you this, a diet isn’t something we ‘go on’ it’s something we have a diet is the food we eat in order to survive and fuel our bodies.

If your wanting to lose weight there is no magic diet or pill/supplement out there that can do this for us.

It all comes down to eating a calorie deficit and that number is different for all of us so if your struggling to find what is right for you seek advice from a professional be a personal trainer or a nutritional advisor.

Most people are willing to help you if you just ask. If you’re just looking to clean your diet up and get healthier my biggest tip would be, don’t be fooled into thinking that you need to be cutting something out of your diet, see it as adding more nutrients into your meals.

This isn’t about deprivation it’s all about moderation.

If something is being sold to you as a special plan or quick solution I can pretty much guarantee you that you will be investing your money into something that isn’t going to work long term and could even make you ill.
